This page is dedicated to a man who is doing his best to fill the biggest shoes in the world... Kevin Harvick. After February 18, 2001, I never thought I would enjoy seeing the Goodwrench car race ever again. Then came Kevin Harvick. If only Dale could be here to see this, he would be so proud of his team. Dale once told Richard Childress that if Childress didn't hire Kevin Harvick to drive a Winston Cup car, that he would. He knew that Kevin was a great driver, and that is why I like to see him in Dale's car.

Kevin Harvick wins at Atlanta AND NOW Chicago! Divine intervention at Atlanta?... Yeah, I think so! I know that Dale was with him in that car there... What an amazing finish! Just like Dale did last year in that exact same car! The only thing that could have been more ironic is if it had been Bobby Labonte who finished the race door to door with Harvick. Amazing! Congrats to Kevin and the GM Goodwrench pit crew... You guys deserve these wins!!! I know that Dale Earnhardt is so proud of you all!!!

Harvick's first win will forever be remembered as one of the greatest races
in NASCAR history. It was amazing, not only for Kevin to win in his
third Winston Cup start, but because of the entire circumstances that surrounded
the event. For Kevin to win in only his third (3)
Winston Cup start, at the very event that Dale Earnhardt had won the year
before, in the same close manner, is simply amazing! If Kevin wins
Talladega later this season by passing 15 cars in the last five laps, after
a late race restart, it will prove without a doubt in my mind, that there
is a God, and that Dale Earnhardt is with him.
2001... A stressful season due to driving full time in both the Winston Cup and Busch series. Kevin is proving that he can do it by running well in Winston Cup, and leading the points in Busch! I thought he would be good, but I never knew he would be THIS good THIS soon!
