The end of the 2000 NASCAR season brought an end to a truly amazing career.

I was never a huge Adam petty fan
but I was saddened by his death. There were a few races where none
of my favorite Busch drivers were up front but he was and I rooted for
him. He was a good driver and I think he would have been better than
his dad was. I feel for the family friends and fans of all these
drivers. I now know how the fans of these drivers feel. It's
not a very nice experience.
